The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is a Four-Diamond beachfront property, which opened in 1989 and will complete a $15 million renovation during the first quarter of 2001. The Santa Monica Beach Hotel has 340 rooms, including 13 suites. Standard guestrooms are 400 square feet and are furnished with an elegant casual southern California style in sea blues, greens and sand tones with pale wood, rattan and wicker furniture, framed lithograph beach scenes on the walls and small 5-foot step out balconies with great ocean views. Rooms on the west side of the hotel have the best ocean views; rooms on the north and south sides have limited ocean views. Guest rooms are workspace friendly with executive desks, and floor lamps. Room amenities and services include twice daily maid service, three telephones, 27-inch televisions, terry cloth bathrobes, mini-bar, make-up/shaving mirror, hair dryer and bathroom scale. Full ocean view guest rooms have fax machines.

The Santa Monica Beach Hotel has 13 suites including the Palm, the Pacifica and Bay suites, which feature custom furnishings. The Palm Suite is the hotel's Presidential suite. Lavande is the hotel's signature restaurant featuring sweeping ocean views and California Mediterranean cuisine. Lavande is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Sunday Brunch.
